PhillyWisper.net is an internet-only service provider.  While we support all of your favorite streaming platforms like Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime Video, we don’t offer live TV services. The good news is there are cable alternatives that are ultimately less expensive and more customizable. Below are some fantastic TV streaming services that have been transforming the industry. Each service offers slightly different packages, so keep an eye out for your favorite networks when browsing for a streaming TV service to best suit your needs.

Similar in concept to a cable box, you will need a device to access the streaming TV service of your choice. Ways to access local channels

Locast.org

Locast is a NY-based, non-profit digital translation service that provides local broadcast stations for free over the internet.  It’s currently available in select U.S. cities and just launched in Philly November 2018.  All you need is a broadband internet connection, like PhillyWisper, and you’re good to go.  Watch on your phone, tablet, Smart TV, or through your favorite streaming device.  Sign up here.

HD Antenna

TV antennas are making a resurgence as people are moving away from cable TV and toward live TV streaming services online.  Modern HD antennas are low cost and pick up any of the broadcast networks in your area.  It’s perfect for tuning in to the local coverage, like regular season Phillies games or afternoon Eagles matchups that your streaming service might miss.
